As anyone on the journey to better health and happiness will attest, it's very beneficial to escape one's normal routine and daily surroundings to get away for a day, (ok a few days is better, but busy women can't get too greedy!), in order to focus the mind and body on that which one seeks to attain...in other words, it's good to get the hell outta dodge every once in a while to relax, exercise, and learn a few new ways to better one's self.
Lindsey Layton lead a day long retreat a while back that still ranks as one of my favorite days ever in and around Louisville. In her signature inspirational way, she led us in yoga over the water, a drumming aerobics class, a vigorous hike, a spectacular cooking demonstration, and a time of meditation...just to hit the highlights. My comfort zone was definitely stretched right along with my body, mind and soul! It was truly a memorable day spent enjoying God's creation that left all in attendance so grateful for the opportunity to spend that time with Lindsey. We all left feeling invigorated, empowered and very calm. - Merry
